"Exotica music brought Hawaiʻi’s jazz musicians to the world stage,” says Randy Wong, bassist and leader of WAITIKI 7. “It’s a cultural tapestry—an artistic interpretation of the melting pot that makes Hawaiʻi so special. The live performances are ‘lightning in a bottle,’ and we’re honored to contribute to the legacy of live music in Waikiki, and especially at the Blue Note Hawaii."

THE WAITIKI 7 MEETS THE Hawaiʻi SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

June 5, 2026 • Honolulu, HI

ONE NIGHT ONLY: An evening of Exotica, performed by the world-class Hawaiʻi Symphony Orchestra and your favorite modern Exotica supergroup, The WAITIKI 7.

Shaped by, and for, Hawaiʻi, the Hawaiʻi Symphony Orchestra is a pillar for the arts, a public service provider, and a home for an all-inclusive community within the islands.

This concert will present some of our favorite Exotica hits from our albums, along with new material, all freshly arranged for a performance in which we will be backed by the 66 professional artists of the HSO.

Mahalo to Amy Iwano (HSO President & CEO), Maestro Dane Lam (HSO Music & Artistic Director), composer Michael-Thomas Foumai (HSO Composer in Residence & Director of Artistic Engagement), the Halekulani, and all of our friends in the orchestra for supporting us in this exciting endeavor!
